Finaly got my truck worked on and made the trip. It drizzled rain all the way down, and turned to snow later that night and flurried a little that day and the wind was whippin all day. We didnt catch any pigs, but it wasnt for lack of trying. we covered alot of ground, johns dogs got out and hunted good, I just brought some pups and 2 catch dogs, i think the weather might have had alot to do with it. Have to say that we couldnt have had any better host, and john's wife is a very good cook. They treated us like family the moment we arrived. Im not all that good at writing, but would also like to add that they have the most awsome house, which you would just have to see for yourself, maybe john can post some pics. I happened to snap a few before and during the hunt This bigin didnt go on the hunt, but was one of the biggest i ever seen. Notice the smaller white horse to the left, that was one of johns sons, I think he said he was 5 yrs old. I was very impressed with his riding skills. That boy rode like a pro. The one on the big white horse in this pic. is my boy christopher, One of the fellers that came with us was kind enough to let him ride a while, actually I think he was just getting cold and wanted to walk a little to warm up. lol Couldnt have met a finer bunch of folks, Thanks again John, hope to get back down when this weather fairs up a bit.

Yes sir, thats part of it, and why its called huntin and not catchin. We had a great time any way, and a bad day of hog huntin is better than a good day at work Oh yeah, johns wife makes some of the best dang home made buiscits, so yeah i will make the trip back down there just as long as she makes another batch of buiscits

Glad y'all had a good time Tom, sorry you didn't connect on any swine, but as you said.....that's hunting. It's a real good thing to make some new friends that you can enjoy the woods with. I'm glad you and your boy made the trip and got to enjoy some of those homemade biscuits. Keep your feet warm bud, GA is calling me this morning......we're headed south shortly....wish me luck. Talk to you soon.

Sounds like a heck of a good time! Catching hogs always comes second too making time with good people.
Mission accomplished!
