I had a gyp have a litter of pups two days ago and I was so suprised because she was huge I mean HUGE and she only had five pups. I was expecting about ten thats how big she was... But her pups are the same size as my two week old pups outta another gyp..... I will be so happy when these pups get up because then i wont have anymore for about six months, gonna breed our registwred catahoulas then but as i said before just shocked by the litter size....

had a gyp a couple years ago that go really big. bigger than she usually did. she had 5 or 6 pups then quit. i kept watchin her and decided something wasnt right. took her to the vet, he looked, got a wire hook and pulled out a pup twice as big as any of the others. took her home and she had 4 or 5 more! the big one died, but i swear it looked almost as big as a full grown rat terrier. i guess it happens, but thats the first time in 30 years of raising cur dogs, hounds, and everything else, that we ever needed to pull a pup.

How old is your gyp. Agree with post above if she is young or on up in age be careful for a pup being stuck in birth canal. If this is the case pull it or get her to vet or you will lose her bro. Good luck

I would rather have a smaller litter with healthier pups better odds of all the pups makin it. Good Luck with the pups !

I have a gyp that had pups the other day and had 16 of them and she wasnt very big at all, too bad I had to cull the whole litter. It was an unplanned breeding that AI didnt want to fool with.

big ben what is your litters breed, i may know someone who would take the whole litter as soon as they can leave their momma, honestly what he would do with them is train them and sell them but if your not wanting to mess with them its an option also where do you live
