So far I have watched Richard ( got2catchem ) LSWDA , another man whose name I forget with the Lacy Dog association, Dinah (DJhogdogger) ETHD, and now Russ Ford with ASCA Australian Shepherd Club of America is speaking.

It looks like a good representation of working dog owners at this point.

Mr Meaker of Texas Coon Hunting Assoc just spoke up for the bill, as well as Rex Bumpus ( Bump ) of LSWDA spoke for the bill.

That makes 6 people speaking up for HB 2833

There are 2 people speaking against. One of which is Monica with Texas Humane Legislation Network.

John Wyble was the one testifying for the National Lacy Dog Association.

I feel the hearing went very well.  We had some great testimonies IN FAVOR of the bill and LSWDA would like to thank them all!!!  AND those FOR the bill well outweighed those AGAINST it.

Right now the bill is pending in committee.  I think they will review the testimonies given, looking at both sides, and then make a decision.  If we need to change anything, I should hear something this afternoon or evening and will keep everyone informed.  Once it passes this committee it will be readon the House floor and voted on.  If it passes in the House, we then move on to the Senate where it will have to go through another committee hearing and then to the Senate floor for vote.  We still have a little ways to go, but it is a good sign we have gotten this far!!!
