Went out on a morning hunt with a couple buddies, ran a couple of places an didnt get anything went to one more place by a feedyard at a big tank. Turned all the dogs loose and she went upwind 300 and stayed there bout 25 min finally got cd and went to her couldnt hear her till 33 yds, had it bayed in a creek bottom by herself turned cd loose with good uglydog catch gear on got cut bout 10 times, twice in the throat got one in the jugular, buddies were still at the tank flipped an tied the boar by myself an then noticed cd was in bad shape so threw her over my shoulders and ran bout 500 yds to big tank but cd ended up passing away. Boar weighed 250 got hunt but good cd killed

Really nice hog, sorry to hear about your dog, always hard to lose one.  What part of the world do you hunt in?

Good hog... sorry about your dog...

If i remember right, you were running a Guardian vest.... did the hog cut through the built in collar?
Just goes to show no vest is hog proof, and only takes one hog that knows what hes doing to tear them apart...

again, sorry for your loss...

Hate to hear about your cd man,....I know you'll miss him. Good hog though, glad you took him out. Your little bay dog is the spittin' image of one of mine.....she's half Plott and half cat, looks exactly like your dog, they make good ones sometimes.

Yes i run the gaurdian and still like it, i didnt have the bib flipped up to try an keep my cd cool and it turned out to be a fatal mistake even though i very rarely flip it forward and havent ever had trouble in the past. It gave him just enough room to get him under the chin
