has anyone heard about the transocean mariannas over in ghana taking on water in the pontoons ans sinking? i have been on that rig all year and was wondering if there was any new news. last i heard is that everyone that was essentiol personel are still on the rig and got rid of all non essensiol personel(locals). my partner made it off and is heading home tomorrow. i myself will be home next week. just your feedback would be apprecciated. if you have any pics of the rig post them as well.

I read about it in the news yesterday. Not many details. I'm sure Trans Ocean is keeping details to themselves for now. stick, if you wanted to get home for a while you should have just told them. No need in sinking the dang rig.  Seriously, glad you are safe. I called your wife yesterday to see if you got off safely. |

They would have been fine but I asked Bryan for a picture of the girls.He lined them up on one side of the rig and it blew out the ballast pumps trying to keep up with the shifting load! It worked out pretty good though. They didn't even need to deploy the life boats. The crew just floated the girls in until they beached in shallow water. |

latest news!!!! with the 10 degree list, we have now moved the ladies to the other side of the rig. that should buy some more time. we tried to tell them use the haliburton unit to suck out the pontoons but realized how stupid that sounded cause it was not a schlumberger unit. all the local fishing boats are surrounding the rig in hopes to catch a whale.
