Thought about it long and hard.  Just dont make no since to breed any more straight find dogs got all I need so why do it. I dont sell many dogs dont care to so I said lets just breed for need and I need to stop bad bad boars .  Dont yall get tired of mile long chases two mile chases hell man when I had my ruff dogs we never done that and didnt even own a bulldog .  250-275 even 290 lbs were stopped and caught and the rest were shot .  I tired the loose stuff got it here now great find dogs great bay dogs but you gonna run your ass off behind them to get them stopped to damn old for that chit  .  So I got the remedy for about 90% of those bad ass running boars and they are cooking in the oven right now !   Am hoping these ought to get the job done that blue bitch is 8 years old smart fast wind a hog, track a hog on the ground are on the truck are four wheeler.  Ruff smart been on as many big hogs as any and got the scars, pics and videos  to prove it .  So if this dont work noting is gonna work .  I know some hogs u just aint gonna stop but for the rest of them look out !

This breeding was done by the gut just a gut feeling and a itch I had to scratch !

I hope it works out good for you.  momma might put enough savvy in them to keep them alive. Pop has 2 things on his mind and staying alive aint one of them.

looks like it will work, went down that road before and made some killer hog dogs, had one bulldog/cur that caught and killed a 160lb hog on her own and then sat beside it for god knows how long till i found her, her vest was torn off and her collar was ripped off and she had alot of pokes and cuts and still wanted to hunt

like i said i hope they work for you

Yup yup.  I know a old timer that once said :
Am in this thing to Hunt and Stop Hogs not see how far I can chase them  !

Be dammed if the old man ain't right !

Just because a dog will hunt a mile out don't make him no better than a dog that will find hogs stays busy and hunt out 500 yards.  Thats just a big Misconception to me and Hogwash!

I had noting but ruff type of dogs and we caught lots and lots of hogs never really had many long runs just every so often.  Sure I sewed a lot of dogs and had some vet bills .  So I Decided to cut some catch out of them dogs by select breedings and I done so with great success .  I got dogs that find hogs and will flat get gone and with some grit to stop a lot of hogs but the bigger badder get gone and it takes forever to get them tired nuff to stop them till me my Buddy's and the catch dog get there.  I have been on mile are two mile runs regular .

Never really had that with the real ruff gritty dogs I had.

The land is getting shorter these days and the real long range back off and bay dogs just don't work as good for us we need to get them stopped and caught the sooner the better.  Also am not the kind to just drop the tailgate pull out the lawn chair and just sit there for two hours at a time till the garmin says they are bayed two miles away to me that takes all the fun out of it hell am there to hunt not sit on my ass.

Anyway to each his own.

I agree...I have had then long range never quit a hog hog dogs that were very gritty but apparently not enough grit...I am in the market for the rough dogs that have hunt and a nose...
