Went out by myself last night, cause everybody's gotta work.  Put dogs on the ground around 9:20.  At 10:15 I heard em set down on a good bay.  Got up there with a new catchdog, and cut her loose from 15 yards.  She misses the first attempt, pig breaks and held up about forty yards down the creek.  She misses again.  Pig moves on out of the country.  I can't get the cd called back to me and they moved to the mouth of a big lake which is two properties over.  By 10:30 I can tell they are caught because I can hear one of my yellers barking every now and then.  I tried every which way I could to get to them, but that lake was so grown up.  Thickets of vines taller than me, and soooo hard to get through.  Well I was on the wrong side of the creek.  So I go back out and try to drive around the creek.  Get over there and dogs have moved.  After many attempts with dogs caught for over 4 hours I decided to drive around to see if I could get closer to the lake.  Get over there on a county road and after 20 minutes they quit barking.  But they are tracking in the same spot.  I tried callin em out on the road but nothing.  At 6:00 this morning I drive to a guys house that owns the lake and ask him if I can go get my dogs.  I am thinking heat stroke or something, for them to be not moving and not barking.  I get down on his side of this lake and track to em.  They were out on this peninsula that is about 30 yards wide and 250 yards long into the lake.  There are as far as they couldve went.  Got within 100 yards and it was like I woke them up.  The dogs went to bayin.  I knew my cd dog wasn't there cause of the bayin.  Got right up to em, old pig weighed 225 or so and was chewed up.  So I called my dogs off at 7:15 this morning.  Snapped a pic and watched the pig hobble back to the big woods.  Haven't found my cd, but glad my yellas were okay.  And proud of em staying hooked like that even with heat.
