Well, we went on a hunt this morning after having to miss last night. We were itchin to go. We only had two and a quarter dogs (Oakie and Bandit, and TJ is just learning). We started early in the morning and almost as soon as it turned daylight, our Ranger's battery died out. So we had to finish with a walk hunt towards the truck. We took a little detour where we thought the hogs could be. Not a few seconds later, Okie opens up with his howling strike bark. Bandit and little TJ get there and start baying. We run in and  cut the catch dogs out and before they get there the hogs split. Scout hit one that the bay dogs stayed on while, Jag ran a loner down. We ended up with two sows around 150 pounds. I guess the ranger dying, turned out for the better. Good morning overall. The dogs hunted out great.

Me too. Jag was definatly missing it. He was all sorts of amped up.  Smiley Tj has a long ways to go, but he is showing interest and wanting to go look for the hogs now and he knows what they smell like now, but getting him several hogs under his belt will definately help. My only issue is that he is starting to trail bark and Im not sure if I should back him of a little bit and let him get a little older before taking him again. He has the drive and that part will only get better, but the trail barkin will get worse im sure.

He is 3/4 American Bull dog (theres a little mastiff mixed in there somewhere, but not much), and 1/4 Dogo. His daddy is Cotton. Im not sure what the name of his mom was. but she was mostly bull dog with a little mastiff in her. Cotton is half bull dog half dogo if i am thinking right.

This is Skunk, Cotton, and Jag (left to right) this was taken a long time ago. Jag is about 3 years and 7 months old now. I believe. He was less than a year old in this picture I think.
