Curious!!!!

I just got threw finishing watching hillbilly fishing
on the animal planet (catfish noddling) , and I had
a question , "why is it when they come up with a fish
on the show it had a stringer already in it's mouth?
Do they put it on when they are holding the fish under
the water or is it tied already and somebody put it their
so the people who go nodding can catch one?
I had never done it so I was just wondering how it worked!
I guess its for tv ratings???

Been noodling all my life the reason thay have a stringer in there mouth is so thay don't lose the fish if you bring the fish out of the water thay like to spin and flop and you can't hold them I have caught many of fish but we always string them before we bring them out of the water every time if not thay get away.

Oh! That makes since. So the whole time you got your hands on the fish and with
the other you are running the stringer thru. I might try noddleing one time in my life!

I think they are noodling for a diffrent kinda monster, not monster earth worms
