I have been reading the big thicket legacy and they said back in the day they would run cold water over the bit. Stay under the water for 2 or 3 hours and the pain would be gone. If someone else want to try that its fine with me but I think I would go onto the hospital!

I have had 4 dogs get bit this month and it got me to wondering, how is the genetic makeup of their flesh so different to ours that they can limp out of a snake bite in a day or so with nothing more than some swelling. I know that the pain is associated and if they could talk they would say it burns like a SOB but why do they not experience the horrific tissue damage or loss of limbs like humans do?

On bed rest for 8 to 10 days and then hopefully be okay. It is amazing how long this is going to take to heal and how much can still go wrong with it. They told me progress is real slow and not to jump the gun and getting back on my feet. Biggest thing to worry about is infection that can set in at any point until it is fully healed. Of the three poisnous snakes to get bit by that this is the one. But even better is not to get bit by any. lol

Just last night I was dealing with dogs at my dad's and he said he had just seen a big copperhead the night before where I was standing. I realized I was wearing sandals. I am wearing my boots today.
