If y'all remember the show he did a year or so ago in North Alabama was filmed a few miles from my house, on Little River Preserve at Little River Canyon. We didn't know they were filming until it was over, or I'd have gone and watched. If you remember he killed a hog and ate some of it. The hog was tied to a sapling so he could kill it without having to run it down, or have it run him down!!
The last part where he was swimming across a pond or lake of some sort was filmed elsewhere and edited in as if it was here....he spoke of watching for gators while he swam, but we have no gators here. As chainrated said.....it's staged to the max. Oh yea....while he was in the canyon he found a pile of deer pills and ate them,....said they're just like little muti-vitamins, what a goofball. Folks around here watched this episode and rolled in the floor laughing.
