Well after a quick 4 yr jog away from the dogs, wife, and kiddos, I finally got transferred back home.
I am gonna finally give these old 20 plus year pens a face lift along with houses.
I am restringing all my dirt pens with this heavy duty horse wire and getting rid of the welded junk. Lil pricey but should hold up till I am an old coot. Was wanting to see some of yalls wooden dog houses since I can build anything I look at but am not crafty enough to think them up. Not interested in barrel setups just wooden houses that yall have designed. I like the idea of having one or multiple sides with hinges for access to pups or easy cleanout.

So all you Tim the Tool men let's see your crafts.

Sides with hinges? that's a helluvan idea. That wire 5 ft. tall? I have been thinking of horse wire for a large pen but wondered if the dogs would get out or not. Man, 4 yrs. is a long time; Wal-Mart must pay out the wazoo!  Grin

Man that's great your back home with the wife and family. How's the girlfriend taking it?  Wink
I did all mine with chainlink and cement Songhai would look good for the wife and neighbors. So I can't help with picks. The hinges are a good idea with treated wood and sealer to make it last. I like the idea of em being on skids or something similar so they are mobile.

Well let me clarify.  Walmart don't pay squat Wink the wife is good and the girlfriends are pissed. But life is back on track. Yes ir is five foot horse wire and will last you forever vs welded, wire. I have 100 x 20 runs so it's gonna get intresting for ground. Kennels. I will keep my off the grounds in combo with these. I have seen the hinged houses before and liked them alot but don't know of anyone that has pics or good plans.
