curious on some of your opinions.  do you guys run your bitchs while they are still nursing? My bitch is dying to always get away from the pups and always wanting to go out! i obviously dont want her to go out and possibly get hurt and not be able to care for her pups, but do any of you run dogs while nursing? and when do you start to run again once they gave birth, or once they are fully weined?

Too many things can go wrong, bacteria can be brought back and given to pups to risk it on pups that I wanted to raise to risk it.

never even thought of it . and wont run one after weaning till she's completly dried up . goin through the woods with there hooters all hanging down and flopping around getting cut by briars and barb wire and maybe a hog is the worst thing could happen to a gyp worth breeding in the first place . just tell her you ain't forgot her and be patient .

Thanks for all the advice guys, I have this female that whelped 14 puppies, 10 females and 4 males.  The pups are all doing very well, going on 4 weeks Thursday! I just see her always wanting to get away from the puppies whenever she can.  I often let her out back for a few hours just to get away but she goes crazy when I take the others out.  Here within a couple weeks, I'm going to be going out of my mind Angry with all these pups..  But thanks again for all the words
