anybody ever had a litter of puppies heads swell up. took them to the vet last week and he said they were wormy and gave me some panicur well i wormed them with it for 3 days as told and im still giving them penisilin as perscribed and they havent gotten any better. a week ago they were the healthiest pupies ive seen then bam it happened. just wondering if this has ever happend to anybodys pups in the past.

Hydrocephalus, fluid on the brain. Could cause seizures and other abnormalities later in life, but wether to cull or not is your decision. Good luck.

No, if its hydrocephalus then their born with it, usually trauma in birth like a bruise on the brain, if your already in contact with a vet ask for his opinion before making a decision to cull. For me personally the brain is the most important organ in a hog dog, but everybody's different and I'm not a vet. Was this the bitches first litter?

I betting they will be ok in a few days, did the vet do a stool sample under the microscope and check what kind of worm it was
