I was wondering which is better to keep the dogs harm hay or cedear shavings .

There both good for warmth but iv heard that the ceader doesn't hold fleas like hay.

i use hay in the winter  you dont have to worry with fleas in the winter . in summer i use cedar  . a dog can fluff up the hay and bury theresevles in it better than cedar . thus they stay warmer . gonna be expensive this year though .

Get u a bag for your mower and make your own hay that is what I do works well.

big boar you can spray anything dog safe on the hay or just put it in the box and sprikle it with 7 dust . but like i said fleas ain't a problem in winter

When its dry in the winter, i have had flea problems. They do seem to be easier to get rid of though.

Cedar can burn a dogs skin and hay and straw can hold ticks and fleas so mix it. thats what I do
