I do not own  hog dogs, I do have squirrel dogs. Tn. Mt> Hybreds. I bred my gyp, and I am wondering what you guys use to help gyps in the feeding area. When I had beagles I used calf mana. I am feeding 21% dog food on a self feeder. Been out of the dog game for awhile, so I am sure there are better things out there in this area. Let's see what ideas yall have.

While pregnant I feed them a high quality dog food...sportsmix black bag or blue bag...about two weeks before whelping I give a slice of beef liver three times a week along with her dog food.

Once pups are born I feed her all she wants to eat two or three times a day...the more the pups suckle the more food she needs...also needs plenty of water to replace body fluids and make milk...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
