Why is it when you are trying to sell a pup or two or left over dog etc. People only want you exact location and pictures. Call the person and talk hog dogs if you are serious . You will know real quick if its your kind of dogs. AMEN??? I know too many people that have had dogs stolen that way.

I don't let people I don't know come to my house. I've had people ask for my address to put in their GPS and when I just tell them the city I live in they never call back. I figured they were more interested in stealing than buying. I guess a picture and address make it easy to pick out the dog you wanna steal.

I was looking to buy a few dogs a while back. I always asked where are you located first. As in what city. I was not going to drive 10 hours for a dog. If they were close enough then we would talk if not then no more waisted time for either of us. With that being said I think there should be a location on each post or at least a nearby big city. A lot of calls and texts could be avoided with a little more on each ad. If you post "ybmc gyp for sale good started dog. Call or text for info" and thats all you put, well then your gonna get a bunch of useless texts and calls that could have been avoided.
This is not directed at anyone specific just what I went through when I was searching for some dogs. Was a little off topic and no I wouldnt give out my address for just anybody nor would I expect someone else to.

One more thing. It takes a crazy person to steal a hog hunters dogs. Every hunter I know including myself has a small arsenal locked and loaded. Either crazy or just stupid!

Anyone that goes near my. Kennels is on camera. They are well hidden so a thief can't avoid it.
If I am paying for a dog I want the address. It makes people honest. Anyone can talk hog hunting and sell a crap dog. I will not buy any dog without a home address or many hunts. What good is a trial period if you can't take it back?
Now ain't talking about you Boone but talk don't mean squat to me me.I was taken too many times when I getting dogs. I wish I had an address because I would have chained a dog to their front door.

You have a point Dub. I ain't talking about started or finished dogs. Lol I agree every started or finished dog needs a trial period or a hunt to prove them.

I personally will not give the address to where my dogs are kenneled. I will give out my home address or a friends address who knows how and where to get a hold of me if needed. If I am selling a finished dog we will meet some where and go hunt that dog(s). I have had too many friends have dogs stolen after giving out there address to somebody to come look at the dogs. Only to go to work and come home to missing dogs. Thankfully they were able to recover their dogs as it was a small community of hog doggers back then here. Where we used to know just about everybody who hunted(not any more LOL). IMHO posting the city you live in or near is a good idea as well as posting a pic of the dog(s). But giving your kennel/ home address is not. You never know when that person may show up, and you not being there only makes it easier to take your dogs. While most folks are honest, and would not take them. I do not want to risk that with every potential buyer.
