Interesting read... but reminds me of the same old kennel club crap... hope they stay as far away from cur dogs as possible...
x2. I couldn't agree more! I dread the day when there is a registration for our Florida dogs because then it will be like so many others, money motivated with little care to the actual workability / preservation of the lines and history of the various strains.
I was visiting the vet one day and an elderly yankee lady was in there with her highly over weight labrador mix dog...one lady stopped and said 'oh my, she is so pretty...what is she??' the elderly lady responded 'oh, you know she is just a curr'. I thought to myself and chuckled 'yeah, if that is a curr then I am Heidi Klum'

It is interested that any 'mutt' is often referred to as a curr, while when I hear curr I have a distinct dog in my head and it is NOT a 'mutt' just a well refined mixture of breeds into one distinct dog.
