But what kind of batteries do those use? I had one and it took watch batteries, and after a few shocks it was out...

They use flat round ones... I have has mine on my dogs for about 4 months and never changed the batteries.

I got one from cabelas mag it was 49.99 free shippin n works well only thing i had to do was put ona a dayglow collar

Never used bark collars before. Was thinking about it with my young gyp. What's the deal on those? Want a dog to be started first? Guess it doesn't affect baying in woods?

I have 2 of the sportdog collars from TSC for around $50. Let's just say I should have chosen more wisely.

I have two of the tritronics bark limiters and they work good. I only wish the box was heavier so that it would stay in the right spot on the dogs neck. Sometimes they ride up on the side which makes them inefective.
Got mine for $79 at Gander mountain.
