Well we saw the cool front coming down Sunday , it would get imo the coooold 40s, so we figured this guy wed been getting on the camera might be looking for some corn.

We decided wed get out there nice and early around 7pm cause he'd been there that time before. And of course we end up getting out there around 9. We dropped my dog magic and my buddy's plott buck, and started heading towards the feeder.
I was saying how we were about to have to do some walking thinking there was slim chance the hog would be there. We were about 100yds away from the feeder and we here magic open up bayed, we let the two cds spaz and cutter loose, and the barking stops and they are on the move before they get there.
The hog runs straight into a real thick cypress stand with pepper trees and vines everywhere. We watch the garmin and luckily they bust out the side, and into a canal, all the dogs are right on his butt and I guess the water slowed him down enough for one of them to get a grip.
Bret legs the hog and we start trying to pull him out of the canal, but the cypress is like a wall, so we have to cross the canal and try to pull him up there. Unfortunately we had a hard time getting him out, and he drowned. Once we got him up on the bank I tried jumping on his chest to get some water out, but I don't have proper training, and I wasn't going to give him mouth to mouth. He gave 3 of the 4 dogs some new scars, but they'll be ready in a week or two.
I really hated to kill him for no reason, but whatever, im going to make a nice skull mount out of him.
I'm waiting on Bret to send me the pics from the camera but these are the better phone pics.
We put him on a scale, 270lbs.
Nice quick easy run.
