I met up with some buddies from VA in central SC and caught 2 sows. Jason G and mike came down and brought butch the baptist along. First one was about 150 or so and the 2nd was a good bit bigger. First hog plott struck and bayed it within about 2 minutes of dropping, my buddies young walker dog also chimed in. We cut butch from a couple hundred yards out and sealed the deal. We picked up the dogs and moved down the road a bit. Dropped again, lost signal with the plott on the garmin. So we followed my buddies young walker dog. The first hog was his first in the woods ever. So we felt like we were wasting time following a 10 month old dog who had just seen his first hog in the woods. After hiking for a bit we heard him open up. He let out one or 2 barks then by the third he was screaming bayed. He had a voice on him. My buddy unhooked butch again and it was on. It was cool to get to see a dog of this size that can hang in the woods and to see my buddies young walker dog get his first hog.
