People must understand that a dog is like a preprogrammed computer by his breeding and genetics .  Just a easy way to look at this is look at a dog as a preprogrammed computer.  By this I mean the dog has been hard bred line bred over the years  for his genetics well this dog is now preprogrammed to do what his genetics say he will do .  No matter how hard a man trys to change the dog the dog is not going to change because he has been preprogrammed by his breeder for years and years and his genetics rule the dog.  All a handler has to do is introduce the dog and the dogs genetic program will take over .  You cannot hardly change a dog like this he is hot wired and that is it.  You might get some to change but it is not going to be many .  You cannot hardly make a long range dog out of short range genetics and when it comes to long range same thing its just not going to happen to often if it happens at all.  This is why genetics is so important the genetic make up of lines of dogs, you have to breed over and over then years for what you want and what you breed is what you will get once you get the genetic makeup of the dog over the hill they will them become consistent and high percentage till then its just a crap shoot.  The shortest way around this is to get you a dog that is already bred prewired preprogrammed genetics and go from there.  This is why you see so many inconsistent dogs and why it is such a crap shoot to buy one off the net and then if you do get a good one his genetic make up is like playing the lotto when you go to breeding him and then here you go again its just over and over and over this is why you see so many culls for sale advertised as finished dogs this and a ton of people shooting the dice and not knowing at all what they are doing.  Breeding best to best is a great way to go but you will never have the consistent a great line bred family of dogs will have and when these great line bred family's are introduced to the correct out cross the Vigor its on like Donkey Kong !
