Picked up a new little gyp yesterday. Supposed to be 8 or 9 months old.
She pretty much ain't never had a hand on her, so just started messing with her a little today.
Don't know much about her dad, other than he was a good cow dog. Buddy who gave her to me was going through a divorce and had to keep his dogs at another guys house. He let him breed her mom to one of his males to get some pups.
Y'all might be able to give me some insight on the moms lines. My buddy picked up a black gyp good while back from Lloyd Perry. She was an older dog when he got her, named Lady. Said she was the best cow dog he ever had. He went back over there a few years later and bred that gyp to another guys male. He said his name was Curtis Loothey(sp). Said he thought the male was named Hank. That breeding produced this gyps mom. I have seen Mr. Perry name come up on here quite a few times.
