Man, all I can think about is getting back into the woods! Take one weekend off and it feels like you've been out of the woods for a month! My dogs are ansy as hell, and I know I am! Sure hope we can get on something this weekend... Good luck to everyone else as well!!!  |

LOL! Yes sir!!! You know that I will... JoeTBH and myself are going to load the crew up and head down to Jacksonville to meet up with redneckrob on some land he has. I sure do like going to meet new people and see new places that I've never been. I'd say that it's just as good as catching swine, but I'd be lying!!! LOL!  Although there really isn't anything like good people cooking out, having a couple cold ones, and being part of God's great creation! |

Awwwwws Ryan quit your bitchin'......what if you couldn't go for several weeks...or a month or more? Y'all got it made and you don't even know it. JK bud,......I just wish I had hogs to hunt like you guys do.....good luck and send pics......I like to look at 'em but it makes me sick too. You are lucky.....remember that! |

LOL! Point taken though even threw the joking... and remember, I did sit out twice, once this year and once last year. (two separate surgeries) I am blinded by the fact that we have it pretty good here in NE Texas. But i'm reminded of just how much I want to do this for a living everytime I'm in the woods! I would love to find a big game ranch to partner up with and do guided "catch and release" hunts... but that's in a perfect world! LOL! Or win the lotto and buy my own!!! My wife and I want to own a ranch someday, but that's a longshot at best as of right now... Seems like the only way to live your dreams is to be rich in this world, so I just leveled my dreams down a little bit to be able to accommodate my mind! So I just take mini vacations around Tx and everytime I'm in the woods I count my blessings! I'm blessed just to be able to WALK into the woods, and have the ABILITY to be able to hunt... There are some that do not have that option at all, and a lot that are no longer here to be able to enjoy it. Thanks for the humble pie Firemedic!!! I guess I needed that huh? LOL! Can you blame me for loving it all so much though? ... Didn't think so... |

You're quite welcome my friend. lol I'm glad you 'got' my meaning out of my post. Yes, you do have it good when it comes to hogs,....and I'm glad that you realize that too. It's also good that you understand how great it is to just be out and in the woods.....hunting or not. I'm 60 yrs. old and still get as excited as a kid when I'm going to a new place that has a' ton of hogs' on it.....even if it doesn't pan out, which it mostly doesn't.......good luck bud.

And your signature means more to me everytime I read it! Good stuff Firemedic, and thanks buddy! Maybe we can put you on some hogs one of these days... but they call it hunting for a reason. We have to work pretty hard for most of the hogs we catch nowa days.

ain't skeered either way! I have some protein bars if we are! LOL! But we won't be... We'll be there as fast as possible tomorrow after work. Hopefully we can get on em tomorrow night after we eat... but who knows! I'm just thankful you invited us down man! We appreciate the invite for sure! Hopefully my dogs show up to work! |

Like you said being in the woods is better than sittin home any day.Will watch the feed troughs right at dark they are usually lookin for a free meal at the dairy.
