Went out this morning by myself and took my dogs Blue, Pacman and my young pup Peppa (a pup I got from Peachcreek).  Went to a spot known for having some runners so I was hoping a couple of loose dogs would work the best.
As soon as I let the dogs out they were rolling.  Peppa and Blue took off and before I knew it were about 300 yards in a thicket barking.  I started heading that way and Peppa came back but as soon as she saw me she ran right back in and was baying again.  It seemed like she was making sure I was coming too.  I got within about 50 yards but saw that it just got thicker so I went ahead and cut Pacman loose.  He ran straight in and caught and I didnt hear a squeal so I figured it was a decent hog.  They stopped him in a deep creek bed and Pacman had him shut down.  I was glad I brought Pacman because I didnt figure Blue and Peppa would help catch.
I couldnt be more proud of my dogs on this hunt and Peppa really suprised me.  Besides being in a couple of races this is the first hog she has ever been on and she took right to it.  Plus ole' Blue seems to be warming up to me and is fitting right in.
