Got off work today and the wife and babies were at my parents eating so I went and we visited for awhile. He got to telling some old stories and we broke out the pictures. We looked through a bunch of pictures and I only snapped a few and thought I'd share em. I never get tired of hearing these stories or seeing these pictures. These pictures are from the 1920's, that's what two pictures had on the back of them, and one from the 1930's. They are of my great-grandaddy and maybe his daddy, it's hard to remember it all. The pictures are of wolves they caught in these piney woods when it was still a virgin forest. My favorite picture, these will hang on my wall once I get them re-done. Just alil family history.

That's awesome man. My old boss helped with the last big study to find any remnants of the Red Wolf down here. One of the last populations they had was on Sabine Refuge, and they were trapping on the Gray Estate right next to it.

BA-IV those are some good pics man hold onto those. My grandparents had a house fire in the late 70's and lost lots of pictures. My great aunt (grandmothers sister) still has a bunch and has been posting them on facebook for over a week now. Figure I would share a Lil more Louisiana history..... Enjoy. my grandmother and aunt with one of their deer dogs. my uncle Ambrose at the old home place. my great grandmother Peggy. my great grandfather Jake and uncle Sid. old campsite on the amite river. four generations.

thanks to all who posted pics...
Chris...your Grandpa was a dog man...in the first pic when he was a young child, the dogs look like some nice old time plotts...
When looking at the old pics...no one ever seems to be overweight like now adays...even when I was a kid in the 1960's it was hard work at the ranch and at the farm...We didn't have that big selection of all that junk food back then like we have today...and money was hard to come by by most...
you can clearly see that some of those folks didn't have lots of money back then but they managed to feed some good dogs...
