Great customer service! I would call them first and they will have you try a couple things and if it does not work they will then tell you how to get repaired.
I agree 100%....I would either call them or email them about your problem....reason being is that I have about the same problem with mine.....won't charge. So I emailed them about it, got a reply in less than 24 hours, very nice folks to deal with. Found out that my model, a Trashbreaker Ultra II, is an older model and that they no longer keep parts or do repairs on older models. They did offer me a discount on a new model if I wanted to upgrade.....don't know what I'm gonna do yet. I bought this one off eBay some years ago and it's been a good one. Good luck with yours.
