For you that have used benadryl on your dogs for certain problems. What exact dose do you abide by? Ima start givin a yr old pup i have and was wondering what doses yal go by?

depends on how big the dog is and how bad the problem is. I had a 120 lb blue tic that had a whole body skin infection where his skin was basically raw over the entire body. i used 3 benadryl and medicated shampoo for a week. Other 75 lb dogs with food allergies i have used just 1 benadryl. I guess little dogs would get half.. You can see the tolerance after you give them one. If they are still running around you prob could have given a little more. If they go to sleep you prob have the correct dose

Dose it at 1 milligram per pound of body weight to start. U can go up to 2 mg per lb, but I'd start at1 and c how that works for ya
