How much lift do you want? Just lift or to put bigger tires? I have done a few lifts and I would never pay someone to do it. I would be happy to help you. Torsion lift gives you lift and a stiffer ride but you risk the bar breaking if you over tighten. I am not against them just saying. I don't know that year but there is spacers for coil springs that are cheap and you can do a shackle flip for leaf springs most are don't cost anything but sweat. Like I said I can help you if you want and I just want a sandwich or something and cold Dr. Peppers.

Personally I like small lifts to put bigger tires on.

Nobody seems to be reading what I wrote except Rueben  Wink

The problem I have is a front end with 210,000 miles on it and it needs to be rebuilt. I was inquiring as to wether or not a suspension lift replaces the factory front end or if it's just "jacking it up"

Maybe my lac of mechanical knowledge has made my predicament unclear?
Sorry y'all don't think I'm rude, just had a bunch of people offering solutions to make the truck taller without stopping the squeeks.

Fire medic, you're correct, I'm old enough to be over the jacked up truck stage.

Sorry I can't read. Go see these guys. http://www.axleandwheel.com/ they are real straight shooters. Took my truck in and they told what I needed for knowing I would do it myself and only charged me a few bucks. You can just put it on a lift or jack stands. Then just push and pull to see what moves. But for the time and effort it is worth paying an honest company to check it for you. I was real impressed with those guys honesty when they could have charged me way too much and done nothing like Firestone.

[quote author=dwhd93 link=topic=54359.msg371038#msg371038 date=134282 Is the squeakin when you turn? If so you just needa grease everything up in your steering. The pinging may be a small bar that goes to your sway bar to your lower A arm if its when you hit bumps. I know the brushing are real bad about goin out
