Well, the early bird catches the worm, so we were ready to go by 11:59 last night. Opening of mini season is today, and is say we did pretty good for 2 people and no tanks. Ended up with 27.
Man its a whole different ball game diving at night, but lots of fun. Saw some cool stuff  horseshoe crabs, sleeping fish, a huge stone crab, moray eel.
I was smart enough to wear long sleeves, my buddy is lit up with fire coral.
We started out trying to tickle them out and nnet them, but soon ditched that idea and started reaching shoulder deep into holes, just bulldogging them.

Good mess of crawfish right there. Used to bully net (cracker style or should I say Conch style Grin) them years ago around Key Biscayne and on down into the keys. Cousins and I would wear them out. Filled the freezer and sold the rest. Made good money as a kid sellin seafood.

Bag limit is 12 per person, we had 3 people, 2 in the water one in the boat. I'm in Martin county, not the keys.

We have a commercial(products) liscense. No limit. Would be almost impossible to productively fish the same flats we used to do to the amount of people these days.

I'm guessing y'all were out at pecks lake? How long does mini season run for?

Few miles from pecks, but close, I bet pecks was loaded with boats. Mini is 2 days.
