Alrity heres the deal E O. I was able to get permission from a good person to trap hogs on their property. Next to their place is a 40 acre patch of woods thats infested with hogs right in the midle of the precious town. These hogs arent goin anywhere soon. So far i been able to trap a few here and there. But theres some that just dont want to enter the trap at all. I get pics of em all day long but only outside the trap. And i still havent been able to get a clear one of their face. Oh how bad i been thinkin of sneakin a dog in there but i dont roll that way. I like it already bein able to trap. The date is off but just a while ago i went to release a coon i had in a trap and walked in front of the game cam. So it snapd one of my backside. As i was chekin pics. 12 minutes before it took one of me it had 4 good size hogs sitin in front of it. I tought it was prety dam cool.I knew i heard something too but i tought it was the booze talkin.  But other than that any opinions on how i can get these big boys and girls to enter the trap is highly appreciated. i also been thinkin about buildin a corral trap on there to see if itll help.

On the last pics there was sour corn inside the trap which seems like they didnt mind it so they ate dome corn that was outside of the trap. Im also thinkin of brushin up and covering the trap a bit more to see if it helps

Izz we used to build coral traps I guess kinda of like a perch trap we would over lap one piece of panel to we're the hogs could ouch it in but once they got in they couldn't push it out they would walk around the coral and find the weak spot and push it in caught up to 22 hogs all at one time in that trap we had an automatic deer feeder in the middle of the coral to

Have you wired the door of the trap open so they can fed in and out for a week or so before setting the door to catch? And have you fed a trail out of the trap so they have something to follow?
Having the door wired open often works for trap shy pigs but some big boars will never go in in my experience. You have to dog them...
Cheers.

Sour your corn with diesel, it up'd my catching alot! It doesnt hurt them, they cant resist it and none of the other critters will eat it.

Build a corral trap and make the gate 4 to 6 ft wide tie it open and feed them for a few days . This has worked for me to catch bigger hogs I would set it so the door only opened about 3/4 s of the way .
