Sunday we took our bulldog Tank to the vet. We had carried him the Thursday before for what we and the vet considered a stomach bug. When we went back Sunday morning it was not pretty. Our once overly excited bulldog was just the opposite. Extreme vomiting, dehydrated, and weak. Got him to the vet and the suspect was food poisoning. Talked to our vet today and Tank is having kidney problems. We are asking for prayers at this time for our family member. Thanks -Lady Hogsnatcher

Is it possible that he could have gotten a hold of something toxic?
For that fast of a decline in health, that raises the 'toxin' flag to me.....
Fingers crossed big time for you guys.....

Anything is possible, nothing that we know of though. The vet says its actin like antifreeze or something he said its hard to tell at this point wether the kidneys caused the stomach problems or vice versa. We just hope they can get him back going he's more than just our hunting dog he's our house pet and companion. Going through this with him has shown how much more he means, its been very difficult seeing him like this. We still haven't found anything he could have gotten into to cause this. We should be finding out something this morning as to which way it will go we just pray he was able to pull out... Thanks for the prayers

Aw that's great news thus far! I really hope he pulls through for you guys! Have you gotten to visit him yet? We'd often see alot of our hospitalized dogs really perk up whenever their owners ould come in to visit them.

Did u worm him with ivomec? I had dog with a reaction to ivomec and it shut his kidneys down. A jagdterrier, first tracking dog...

We visited him yesterday and are going back now. Hes been given ivomec from a young age and never had adverse affects. The feed we swapped to was given to all 17 dogs and he was the only one with any problems I'm guessing his goofy butt ate something he wasnt suppose to.without us knowing
