Went out to ck my traps this morning my wife and I. Get to one of the traps can see three pretty good hogs in there, 230 lb + Sow , 150 boar and a littler boar get up there and there is a big big big bad black boar outside the trap and he is pissed off to say the least ahahhahahahahaha. Dont have my gun with me would not have shot him anyway but get out the truck try to run him off and he charges me I jump in the back of the truck pick up my big pokeing rod and start to get on his ass he runs off about 50 yds and trys again I cracked his ass over the head with that iron rod he takes off again hits the dry slew and goes out into a coastal feild and just sits down and watches . Now am damn leary the whole time we are there loading hogs looked at him several times he never moved we get the hogs loaded and I take another look and he is gone.
The dammest thing I have ever had happen when trapping now I have had hogs try to run me over when tieing a hog but never had one do what this hog did he was a agressive agressive MF man and real damn brave to say the least I said I would not have shot him but if I had had my gun when he run me in the back of the truck I would have put some hot lead in his butt!!!!
My wife was frecked out inside the truck ahahhahahahahahahahaahhaahha she has seen a lot also with all the years of hog hunting but this was a first for both of us !!
Watch out man they getting agressive and real damn brave these days !

Lol maybe he thought you were going to mess with his girl that little boar was done in there with her lol. That is crazy thought I was going to get run over last night dang hogs were not 10 yards from me when I caught that sow. Just had cds and this sow was more than we could handle as it was. Didn't need no more caught lol.

more than likely the sow in the trap was in heat...
back before 4 wheelers and when the 3 wheelers first came out and before the hog hunting craze... a friend of mine had a big red and he was out coon hunting and he comes up on a big boar hog...the big hog jumps out of the wallow and gets to beating on the big red for a while before he walks off...my friend kept the 3 wheller between him and the hog...

I was going to a bay and had a small boar charge me. I put my boot between his eyes and shoved his nose in the dirt. I went to keep going and that boar charged again. The third time I put his nose in the dirt I just went ahead and tied him up. I figured I did not not want that one getting to be big. He was exactly bbq pit size  |

Jimmy, remember when axle caught u bent over and latched hold of you? I bet if you would got on the ground, you coulda hobbled him when rared up to do his business. You coulda caught him off guard and had a another free pig.
