I have a gyp that just weind her pups and the same day I brought home a litter that was just born and their mom wasn't taking care of them. She instantly started taking care of them. Do yall think it will hurt her to let her take care of them? It's been a week and they are all ok, even her.

It'll be alot better for the pups, just keep the gyp in good shape.

After one litter if she's not drawn down too much she might handle it. Just supplement her with milk replacer maybe.

she should continue to milk but be sure and get you some calcium supplement tabs for the gyp . a litter of pups prettty well drains a gyp of calcium and i would start to feed them pups a mixture of soupy puppy chow mixed with milk replacer as soon as they will start eating it and you could get them weaned off her by 3 wks old .

I just put powdered milk on the dry food. I also give raw bones. Not cooked bones just raw bones.
