That sounds like a good way to for sure get pups started. Good price and decent sized pen. Only problem I could see is gonna be to many oeople showing up to work some pups on a sure thing. Could turn into full time job .lol Should work out great with all them pups ya got on the way though.

when the pen is done we are having a puppy training party , who ever comes out and helps, when it gets done we will break it in , we are already saving pigs to put in there and some buddies are saving pigs to to put in the pen

Have 50 dollar minimum for four hours for up to 4 dogs and 10 dollars each additional fog. Keep hogs in a separate holding pen for hunters to hunt and leave two or three rank sows for the dogs to work in the pen. If you load the pen up with hogs. It makes it useless for older dogs to get tuned up and can confuse them and puppies. Also hogs, no matter how many, will wise up and make it tough for the hunter to get one. Just ask he or she what they are after and put it in loading chute after they are on stand and turn it loose. It will be moving around there looking for a way out and they will get a shot on what they want most likely. I have learned this all the hard way and watched two friends doc the same thing and I told them how to do it, but they didn't listen at first. Now they are set up the way I just described. Letting young dogs bay a hog in the loading chute, then turning it out from the chute and putting young dogs on a fresh track is great practice too if a customer would like to work their dog and kill a meat hog to boost the young dogs confidence. Also, it is nice to have a bay pen at the other side of holding pen for folks to practice. I like to get pups stirred up in it and turn hog and pups out into an acre sized alley way that connects to the big pen. Then open it up and let them hit the 70 acre or 320 acre pen and stretch out!!!

This sounds like a nice deal. I had a friend that sold hunts out of a big pen years ago. If the hunters had not killed a hog by the last morning, he would get me to run dogs for them. Most of them had never ran dogs and usually rebooked as long as they could run dogs again. The problem we ran into was putting sows in there that were having pigs. Small hogs and pigs really slowed down and sometimes prevented us from accomplishing our goal. My advice would be to use cut hogs for meat hogs and smaller boars that you have taken the teeth out of for training. Hogs staying in there day in and day out will develope a system of flight and if there are too many they will brush you off over and over on different hogs. Last, you seem to be a real good fella, but everyone is not that honest. If you aren't present, they may not kill the hog, but chew it up so bad that it's ruined. JMO, good luck to ya.

Monty are you wanting it to be a training pen or a high fence type if deal? I would be skeptical about trainin young dogs knowin there is a 30 pounder with 3 inch teeth in their, solely because my young dogs are kinda catchy and gettin them messed up training would suck, but in the woods is another story. Just a thought.
