Have a buddy with a 4 month old gyp that walks fine, but when she tries to run it seems like her back legs are stiff. Is this a growing problem? Has been like this the past couple days. Any ideas?

I know of a young Dane that did that, but I never heard how he turned out... they were thinking his bones were just growing too fast for his tendons...

What kind of feed is she on? Make sure your buddy is feeding a puppy feed and not a grown dog feed.

I have a 5 month old american bulldog gyp that is doing the same thing. she is pretty big for her age ( 4.5 months she was weighing 34 lbs) I take the blame I was being lazy and would just feed her a high energy dog food. I was thinking it was displyasia, I need to get her to the vet. If it ain't hip displysia what can it be and is it to late?
