RedneckRob and I called up a friend of ours to make a last minute hunt before everyone settled down for the holidays. We met up around 8 p.m. to discuss the gameplan then dropped Sooner, Bodhi, Ellie and Comet around an area that had some feeders going. The dogs had been working steady for about thirty minutes and weren't really picking up on anything, but as we made our way to the back corner of the property Sooner struck on a big sow. He let out a couple yelps then we heard heavy grunting. As we were heading in we were pleased to hear that the help had arrived. My cousin (who is a first timer to the sport) and brother-n-law were first on the scene to seal the deal! As the dust settled and the barking stopped my bro-n-law and cousin looked over at me and said "We were a little worried when we got there and seen more hog than dogs!" LOL GOOD TIMES!!!
A Special Thanks goes out to those who were kind enough to invite us out or go with us and help our dogs get to where they are now!
