Have a dog I am taking in for my brother. He allergy issues though. It looks like mange although the vet did a scrape test on him it was negative for mange. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what type of medication did you use on him to start the hair growth process?

I have a bulldog that is allergic to hay. He almost chewed his tail off. The vet thought he had a reaction to a flea bite but after the 2nd year I put hay in his house he done the same thing. I have put carpet in his house ever since and never had another problem.

Were his allergies food driven? Trying to figure out what he might be allergic to corn?

My buddy has a lab that has skin allergies & loses his hair. He gives him Benadryl & it works for him.

I have had allergy issues in the past and looked to bedding first and food second. I bred out of that line of dogs to get away from it.
