Buddy of mine gave me a sportdog sporthunter 1800 system with two collars because it wasnt working. No idea on how old it is, ive got the chargers and the whole nine yards. I put the test light on it and tried all the buttons and it seems the collars and transmitter arent talking. i tried reprogramming the collars (based on what i found on the net) and i still cant get them to work. Is there a way to reset the hand held, check the hand held? Anybody got any ideas short of calling the maufacturer and sending it back?

My sport dog 1825 was doing the same thing. Ended up replacing the battery in the transmitter and that fixed it. Not sure that's the issue with yours but maybe.

There our two types of pain: The temporary pain of training or the permenant pain of failure. Choose wisely...
