Hunted Navarro County this morning. Dogs got on a sounder in a nasty Yupon thicket. They busted and dogs scattered. It was a nasty thicket and the dogs had a hard time. As we were trying to let the dogs regroup I notice Jasper and J.P. working a spot 250 out (my new Garmin  Grin), evidently Jasper worked the track out...450-520-650-725-850-950-.52-.65-.86 and they finally stop. We started moving that way...thought we heard baying a couple times but they were so far we weren't sure. We hit the Trinity and the young dogs had crossed..but I think they were beat at that point...they started heading back to us. First time those pups have had to deal with a real river. It beat them this time but maybe it taught them something as well. At 8 and 12 months I'm proud of those two for hanging as long as they did.
