ABout noon yesterday i decided to make a little run on a local hog trappers place he has been trapping. He wanted to see if i could get a boar off this place since all they have been trappping is sows and shoats.  Well his place ended up being really think and no way to work the wind so i hunted till about 130 with Superman and Stew as strike dogs and Dana and Chica as CD's.  SUperman was hunting good but not much sign so after 1hr and half or so i was about to hang it up so i asked the guy trapping if i could just drive to the back somehow and try the wind one last time. I turned Superman out by himself on a track crossing and 30secs or so later he was at 550 bayed solid. I sent Stew to him to help hold.  We walked Chica and Dana to 200 yards and cut them loose.  Boar broke about 20 yards or so as they where getting there so it took them maybe 20 yards to stop him again.  Hog never made a peep so i ran in and legged him to notice the cutters had gone thru the front of Chica a few times but everything else was good.  Perfect size boar hog to wreck a crew but good hunt and good work for being the middle of a hot Feb day!  SInce it was so hot didn't want to stress him anymore so got the nuts on the ground and sent him on his way.   Pictures will be posted just shortly havent used photo bucket in a while and i always forget to take photos so i took several on this hunt for you internet hog doggers!  Wink

2years old. Tcolt and I have the sisters. Dana is straight catch no bark and the sister ranges about 5 to 600 out and is rough but not straight catch. I knew the guys name but I'll hve to ask Taylor again. I'll let you know at the weigh in.
