Never thought I ever say this, But, I can't find a Hog. I don't know if it's the early heat, the drought or the flood back in early may. Since last Thursday I have not seen a hog on 4 game cameras or early in the morning checking traps. I called in the dogs this morning, took them to were I can't trap, to thick and no access to remove hogs. Have always found a hog back there, dogs found seven one morning last January. Turned the dogs loose, they ran the creek for several miles, didn't hit a thing. The place has a cleared high line running accross it. I normally see hogs crossing early in the morning at least three or four days a week. Dogs ran the high line all the way accross the property, nothing.  I have seen these dogs catch hogs on several occasions. Were out almost four hours by this time the dogs were hot, give out and riding on four wheelers.  The place has lots of cover, many ponds and several spring fed creeks. I have seen times in the last six years that the hogs will slow down to a crawl. I have never went almost a week without seeing a hog. Just received my shipment of hog in heat and grim reaper, will try in the morning. Changed from hog wild and corn, to two week soured corn. Don't know what else to try. Any ideas

I will tell you something that I have noticed when that happens.  It may just be luck but I have more often than not found on those places that are not holding a lot of hogs.  Will usually have a lone boar hog or two on them.  I've been covered in hogs and they will disappear for a while but on some part of the place there is a bruiser.  Maybe I have just been lucky.
