I took a real good friend of mine hunting a couple months ago and got him on a real nice boar hog. After Showing it off to his family up in Kansas his cousin who run Coyote dogs up there decided he need to make a trip a trip to Texas to do some hog hunting. He called and decided that he would trade a trophy WHitetail hunt in Kansas for a hog hunt with dogs down here lol..I said fair trade and him and a buddy headed south!

Saturday we took out Tiger and Cub along with Hurcules and a pit gyp that Dub had brought from kansas who had never seen a hog but he wanted to try her so a said come on. After a couple hours of hunting Tiger and Cub ended up striking a big group of hogs at just about a mile from us in some rough country we got to them and find them bayed in a big briar thicket. Just as we sent catchdogs we saw a giant 300lb hog leave out and then here them catch on s smaller spotted hog and get there to find dubs dog caught out right there with them..
She is on the right

After the legged the hog tiger rolled out to a mile back the other direction and showed treed..Dub made the stick and we loaded everything up and headed to Tiger hoping he had ole big boy sat down. we Drove in to 200 yards then walked in to watch tiger and cub working another small hog for a little bit then sent the cds to seal the deal and let the other newby get his first stick..

We called it a night just as it was getting dark and headed into town for a few beers and a steak

Went back out sunday afternoon for one last shot at a good hog before they took off. We dropped Tiger, Penny and Cub and started roading through the ranch and after a little while Penny ended up striking at 950 yards and the others got there and caught out on a small red boar hog..

loaded up and headed to another side of the ranch and struck out . At dark we started heading back to the truck and with about 500 yards to go Penny throws her head up yelps a couple time then bailed off of the ranger and went 400 yard and starts hammering down. Tiger and Cub were not far behind her. Sent Sookie and Hercules and caught hog.  With perfect timing Dub legged and flipped this good boar hog and made the stick just before they had to head back north to kansas!

cool pics of catchdogs Hercules and Sookie and some happy Kansas hog hunters

Fun weekend with some good guys and they got a decent boar hog and three good meat hogs to take back to kansas with them..
