I was on a 276lb boar with some big cutters. I was on a group hunt and one of mine got cut and 5 others of buddys of mine. The dogs got too brave with eachother and decided to catch. Screwed up a lot of the dogs none killed but one went into shock and had to keep pressure on its neck so it didn't bleed out until we could stitch it up. We didn't have any vests just cut collars.

4 on one hog but it was my fault, they bayed in some thick stuff and it was a walking bay and sounded bad so I turned 2 more loose to em from about 200yds.....took me about 10 minutes to get close to turn the cd loose, I think that they got caught because they couldn't get out of each others way, I don't run vests on anything but my cd but everything wear cut collars. I did catch and kill the hog, about 175lbs boar with 1 1/2-2" cuttters....nothing special just a rough hog in a rough spot......he didn't do any major damage on 4 of the 5 but he cut the achilles tendon out of my buddies best gyp that I borrowed for the hunt..... (or what ever is the dog equivelant of a human achilles tendon) I felt like chit about it but he wasn't mad, lucky to have a buddy like david......he's the same guy that I posted the 2 stories about in the close calls thread, that was a couple years ago and that of gyp still can't use her back leg very well but is still a hog finding/baying bitch!

Two summers ago went with two older men and the dogs got on a hog that probably weighed about 200# with thick teeth but weren't to long he ended up killing two strike dogs and broke an American bulldogs jaw in two places American bulldog was all vested up and is fine just can't be hunted anymore. The one strike dog just had a cut collar and he was cut on his jugular and didnt live and my male dog had a vest on and was all cut up and got a shot in his lungs and didn't survive he was a mean sob

Had a guy come hunt one morning on the farm. I had just bought my Kane dog and hasn't got his vest and stuff yet. I showed this fella where to drop dogs and get ready. Caught a smaller sow. While we were tending to the sow another guy was watching the far side of the corn. He calls and says he just saw a big hog. Go to him drop dogs and in seconds it's on. Chased this dude across 4 corn fields with him breaking every time just before we got close. He finally bays about 400 out in a bad briar thicket. We started walking in with catch dogs at a fair clip. Then we here the dogs getting hammerd. We step it up and get to about 50yrd and turn cd to them. We can now see the thicket. Dogs are getting a good whooping and cd hits the thicket full speed. In the blink of an eye the bull dog came out of the thicket about head high. At this point the back up catch dog came out (44 mag) and after 4 shots he hit the ground. He ended up cutting 2 bay dogs good scratched up 3 more and nearly killed the catch dog.

This was him. Good pig but mean.

This one here is the baddest I ever seen as far as putting up a fight. He was one of those tame BARR hogs that don't put up a fight. He was whipping 3 bulldogs like they was nothin. Cut the cur gyp that had him bayed in the twat and she was never right since, she died about a year later. She was constantly peaing all the time.

This one here killed my best bulldog I ever had. They missed on the first try and went about 200 yards through a briar cat thicket and caught just took us to long to get there. When we got there he fell off the hog and the other bulldog come in a caught. Which I was glad cause I was only about 3 feet from him with nowhere to go. This hog died about two days later. Got him skull mounted.

we had five get cut up on a hunt , three which were taken to the vet , once me and marvin and some others seen a group in a feild , I left the ATV and walked around a tree line and turned a bay dog loose real close , hogs split everywhere , marvin and the group went to bays on ATVs and I was still on foot , I sit on the side of a hill and watched my dog [SALLY] work this bottom , a big boar came across the bottom with sally close behind and on the garmin I could see candy headed her way , I was by my self at this time and took off on foot , they bayed several times over a couple of miles , I just couldnt ever get there in time before they broke , I finally had made it to the bay , no catch dog , I got in close and seen sally was sitting down covered in blood right in front of him , candy was trying to keep him off her also , I laid him out with my 40 , I seen she was in a bad way and could not walk so I reached for the phone and I had lost in the multi mile run , I looked at the garmin and figured out I was over 2 miles from the truck , I put sally on my back and started back as fast as my body would let me , it was way after dark when I got back , everyone was looking for me on a huge piece of land and thinking the worst , a lot of money and praying and sally is still baying hogs , I left this boar were he laid  , maybee 6 months later the cowboys were checking water gaps and found my phone laying on a log were the water had washed it from who knows were ,
