Last night was one of the hardest hunts I've been on in a while!!! We took Fred, Pistol, Jane, and PJ along with Blake's new dog Iowa (8-9 months) out to try and run a property a land owner called me about having some damage. We had ran the hogs out of this place for a good month or so, but they came back. We dropped the dogs around 7:30 last night and it was still 80 degrees. They got out hunted pretty shallow at first, until Pistol hit a hot track and Fred and Iowa headed to her. They must have jumped a group cause they split up and then all ended up getting back on the same track and went to the races. 4.5 hours and about 4-5 miles as a bird flys later we picked em back up on the GPS. Got the CDs out and headed to em... Probably one of the thickest bamboo thickets I've ever seen! Got the hog dispatched, and started grabbing dogs. Fred was 40 yards away but not moving so I started thinking the worst. After looking around crazy like, I found him laid up in a creek bed. At first I thought he was just froze up tired and over heated, but Blake got to us and noticed his foot was starting to swell... He had a snake bite, prolly a Cottonmouth! I was about to kill over at this point and did my best to get us out of there towards the truck. Blake and Jeff switched out and carried Fred out a mile to where we parked the truck. Thanks guys for making if happen! Good hunt! They at least got a chuckle from me falling face first down about a 6-8' drop into a creek with Jane in tow... I was air born for a minute. There was a foot on the ground and then I was falling through the air... Lol got lucky I didn't get hurt in the process. That bamboo is some dangerous stuff at night in the bottoms.

Jeff and Jane with about a 100-120lbs pig.

Do you still have that BMC you got from Brittany? If so, how's it doing?
