My dog just give birth she is part ridgeback cat cur and pit but she only had 3 puppies y'all think she should have more?

is it her first litter , if so this could be , I would check out her stuff ,try to open her twat and look inside , stick your finger in there to make sure none are hung up or turned wrong , if so you can try to help her out , been there done that , not fun at all , wish you the best , if unsure she needs to see the vet asap

Not nessisarily. I've had meduim sized dogs whelp single pup litters before. It happens. Does she look swollen up in the abdomen still? She still acting restless? Or is she settled down and relaxed?

Yeah I'd palpate her real good. Usually you can go off of momma's behavior as a good indicator. If she's settled, feeding and tending to pups, and isn't breathing labored still or acting restless, she should be fine. Really the only way to be 110% sure would be to take her in and have a vet check her out, but I wouldn't think that nessecary in this case, in my opinion. Those are gonna be three PUDGY pups though gettin all that milk to themselves! lol

She had one more. She ain't breathing hard anymore. She's cleaning the pups and letting them feed
