You were right halfbreed. Everyone says they want stuff out of the garden but knowone wants to pick it. I gave away several bags of mustards, turnips, collards, and potatoes but only what I picked and took to them. Knowone showed up to get there own.

Any of y'all pickin watermelons yet? I got 40 plants most of them with several blooms each. Any pointers on growing watermelons? Do y'all try to pull all the weeds around them? I dream of the day I strap on my sombrero and sell my watermelon outta the bed of my truck lol

We just picked all our white and red potatoes the other day...the sweet corn is fixing to be ready if we can keep a hog or two outta them. We'll put up field corn and sweet corn this year.

Starting on my garden next summer. I did most of the fruit i wanted in february. 4 blueberry, 3 pomegantes, 2 satsumas, 1 orange, 2 japanese plums and 2 concord grapevines... and I got some wild muscadines that grow in tha shade trees over my dogs.
One tip if you plan on doing a garden next summer, some old timers told me to stake some tarps out to cover the area a few months in advance to kill all the grass and weeds. Saves alot of time I hear
