Couldn't pass up the chance to hunt this rain in the middle of July. Loaded up a few horses and dogs and headed to the flood plane! Kelton (Tejashogslayer) met met me and Laramy at the gate and within 10 min of getting settled and dogs on the ground willie had this good Paint boar lined out and then the fun began. Tied the spot, then penny, ranger, track and pepper rolled over .8 with the two Rcds not far behind. Ended up stickin another boar and  dogs killed a shoat! By the time we got back to the first boar and finished dragging him out the horses and dogs were whooped but it made for one hell of a day hunt!

He's was dang sure marked up good and shinny after that 1.5 mile drag

Thanks Kelton for coming over, its always a good time when there's good buds close by!

I love hunting horseback, nothing like riding and actually being able to hear everything going on around you instead of a constant motor running. Good hunt guys, keep after em.

Thought Id share this pic! Them bulldogs showed a lot of heart after going all that way In the hotn
humid muddy terrain it aint easy for a bulldog to travel as far as they did in those conditions but I give it to em they worked there butts off and did a dang good job! This is my running cd Rescue he went prolly 5 to six miles on a hard hunt, hell my lead in bulldog if he runs over 300 yards he is finding water in a hurry and good lay up in it till I come get him!
