My little cur dog is goin great. She's rough as hell and bays good and will put teeth in a pig. But my question is how do you adjust where a dog catches? Is it natural and there's no real other way to get her to catch different? She will sit a runner down by grabbing flank and tail, and if she gets the chance she will try and catch herself. She doesn't like other dogs being picked on by the hog and she will get catchy but it's always behind the ears like on the back of the neck. She's really only worked with fairly small pigs in the pen so maybe a little bigger pig will help? Just looking for some advice! Thanks & God bless.

Re position her after she catches then let her fight it once on the ear. Pull her off, repeat. How i have worked young bull dogs in the past.Once they figure out a ear makes a easy grab they usually stick to it. Then again some dogs never catch ear.

Catchin on the neck is common on smaller pigs. She will shift to ear later.
DON'T RUSH HER!
The worse thing you can do to a young pup is get her wrecked at an early age by a pig she can't handle. She's doing good in pen. Switch over to drags and mock hunts for a while with that same pig. Switch to a bigger pigs gradually.

Thank y'all, I have put her on drags and she finds em. I'm glad she's so rough just trying to get her on ear.
