Summers coming here so its time to get "stuck in" before its too hot.  Got out again on the weekend for a hunt with my family and two mates in the mountains.  Its getting dry and the pigs were slightly more scarce than normal but we managed 15 for saturday and first thing sunday.  Strangly hardly saw a boar.  Lots of sows heavy in pig and nesting in the snowgrass.  All dogs going well but a bit tired as we covered a lot of steep country on foot.  I'm sure the hills have got steeper since I turned 40.  Two pups 14 months old are firing.  Holly would have caught 50+ pigs on her own already and will make a dog...Her brother frank is owned by my nephew and has been on 6-8 hunts and already outfinding Holly on some occasions.  Strangly he gets nettle poisoning which slows him up a bit.  His tolerance to it is building though.  Rose is back in work and although her fitness is down but she is hunting like always.  After a break shes giving the pigs a bit more curry and not running on like normal but the pups make up for that.

Just a local wolfhound cross. She was off catching another pig and then came in on that one, I had hoped to get a bit more footage.

cheers
